The Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association (NTCA) Inc is the peak primary industry body representing 90% of the Territory's industry, from small family operations, to the large corporate organisations.
Our Northern Territory industry manages a landmass in excess of 680,000 square kilometres (45% of the NT landmass), producing 600,000 high quality cattle per year, generating over $400 million directly and $800 million indirectly into the Northern Territory's economy.
The NTCA mission is to advance and protect the interests of cattle producers in the Northern Territory. Under the direction of an Executive Committee NTCA Members (and industry) benefit from NTCA negotiations with local, NT, federal and other state governments, industry bodies and governments internationally. The work of the NTCA translates into direct savings to industry in reduced statutory charges and costs; legislation and regulation advocacy, NT and national policy on matters central to the long term viability and future of the cattle industry.
The effectiveness of the NTCA depends on financial membership and industry support. There is no other peak body able to represent your interests, and without an NTCA, not only would the industry not be where it is today but the future will be left to chance and the power of interest groups with little to no stake in our industry.
